The Unbreakable Curse of the Girl's Hair! (Original title: An Unavoidable Curse... The Girl's Hair) is the second episode in Season 1, and the second episode in the overall series.
Summary[]
Hari tries to make friends with a girl named Gaeun, whom everybody bullies because they believe she's possessed by a ghost. The ghost is not possessing Gaeun, but it is living in her hair and causing bad things to happen to people when she's around.
Plot[]
Ha-ri and Doo-ri were running late for school, and accidentally stepped on Shinbi in their rush. While the three of them were busy arguing, an 11 year old boy by the name of Hyun-woo saw Ha-ri and Doo-ri talking to Shinbi, and records a video of him teleporting.
At school, Hyun-woo refers to himself as Ha-ri and Doo-ri's neighbor, living in Shinbi Apartment and said that they once bumped into each other. Both of the siblings failed to remember the event. Hyun-woo said that now that they are neighbors, they should be friends, to which Ha-ri agrees. Hyun-woo tells Doo-ri that he will be like a big brother to him and askes the two to introduce himself to the green goblin (Shinbi). Ha-ri and Doo-ri say that he was just a little dog trying to find his owner and try to get away from him. Hyun-woo proceeds by showing them his monster forum, "The Ultimate Place for Scary Stories". He then shows them the video of Shinbi teleporting, Ha-ri immediately deletes the video and informs him that he will not be telling anyone about Shinbi.
Then, the group spots a handsome boy named Kang-lim, walking through the hallway. Hari does not remember seeing him before. Kang-lim glances at Ha-ri and walks away with a group of squealing girls following close behind him.
Once in class, Hyun-woo expresses how lucky he feels to be in the same class as Ha-ri. Then, a strange girl walks into the class. Hyun-woo then states that the girl is Ga-eun Lee, to which Ha-ri asks if she is popular, seeing as everyone suddenly started whispering once she entered the classroom. Hyun-woo responds by saying that she is well known to be possessed by a ghost. Bad things have been having to anyone sitting with her, for example, the girl who sat with her last year got into a car accident and these incidents have been happening for years. Hari replies that Ga-eun does not seem to be possessed, which Hyun-woo finds very interesting. Then Ha-ri overhears three girls making fun of Ga-eun, and stands up for her. The main bully, Min-Jung is surprised that Hari stood up to her but then one of Min-Jung's friends says, "You know she's Ha-ri Koo, right?" which Min-Jung seems to take as a sign to back down. Then, Hari goes to Ga-eun to befriend her, but Gaeun says that all the rumors about her are true and tells Hari to leave her alone. Min-Jung, on the other hand, is very mad at Hari for messing with her and disrespecting her in public. The same friend who told Min-Jung she was talking to Ha-ri Koo, tells her that Ha-ri is a force to be reckoned with, to which the other girl follows by pinning the blame on Ga-eun. Min-Jung then comes up with an idea to take revenge on Ga-eun by gluing her shoes to her locker.
When Ga-eun gets to her locker she stands idly and stares at her shoes, once Hari realizes what happened, she becomes very mad at the situation. Ha-ri is quick to offer Ga-eun her shoes, which she swiftly rejects. When Ha-ri tells Ga-eun she just wants to help her, Ga-eun's face softens slightly before her eyes widen and a dark purple aura appears around her hair. The glow fades as Ga-eun places her hands on the sides of her head and responds by saying she doesn't need help and that she is used to it. As Ga-eun walks away, Ha-ri asks if they can be friends, Ga-eun does not respond out loud but believes that if she becomes friends with Hari, it'll be just like last time. As she walks off the flooring, the teacher spots Ga-eun walking home in her socks.
That night, when Min-Jung was walking home, she is talking on the phone with her friend saying that Ha-ri is going to regret embarrassing her. She turns behind her thinking she heard someone, to find nothing. When she turns back around, a ghost with very long hair appears in front of her and she drops her phone as the hair grabs her.
The next morning, while the two other girls were discussing Min-jung's disappearance last night, the teacher walks in and angrily asks who destroyed Gaeun's shoes. When he gets no answer, he tells the students that they'll be spending gym class cleaning the school grounds.
The two girls decide to teach Ga-eun a lesson for hurting their best friend, by trapping her in the shed. They then ask her what she did with Min-jung, to which she responds that she did go anywhere close to her. One of the girls then pulls a mattress which is headed straight for Ga-eun.
Ha-ri is at a sink washing her hands when she hears a commotion in the shed, and walks over. She is then pulling on the doors, when she then gets the doors open enough to see the Black Pearl Ghost. Upon realizing the two girls are in danger she runs and shoves the door open and drags them out before locking the door until the noises and commotion stopped.
Ga-eun is seen in the nurse's office, the nurse then tells Ha-ri that there is nothing medically wrong with Ga-eun, she is just tired.
Min-Jung's two friends that were attacked by the Black Pearl Ghost are telling the class of their experience before the teacher comes in and they all settle down. As the teacher asks the students to open their books Ga-eun returns from the nurse's office. Once she sits down the girl in the row in front of her asks their teacher, Mister S, to move her seat so that the ghost doesn't attack her. Their teacher asks this is some kind of joke and dismisses it as such, before Min-Jung's friend speaks up and tells him that it is true. Their teacher responds by telling the class to stop spreading rumors. Min-Jung's other friend then claims that the accusations are true and Ga-eun wants to hurt them. The class is quickly riled up and all the students are screaming their objections to having Ga-eun in their class. Soon the entire class is chanting "Ghost girl" and Ga-eun quickly covers her ears, as the dark aura returns around her hair. Ha-ri yells at the class to stop, right before Ga-eun screams and shakes her head violently. Ga-eun's screaming silences the class, when it stops, she goes limp and the desks and chairs around her mysteriously move to the other side of the room, before the chair beneath her slides away. Her body then floats above the ground limp, as the class becomes chaos. Her hair starts to move in odd ways before it blocks the doors and windows, effectively dimming the lights. Her body is dropped to the floor as the Black Pearl Ghost emerges from her hair. The ghost says "You will torment Ga-eun no more! I will destroy you all!". Ha-ri quickly realizes the reason she could not see her because she was hiding in Ga-eun's hair. Ha-ri sees Ga-eun's body on that ground and yells at the ghost as she runs towards it, swiftly dodging her hair, before her hair grabs her teacher and classmates, heaving Ha-ri as the only one not caught. Ha-ri comes running, when Hyun-woo calls her, begging her to help him because he is scared before he goes limp. Ha-ri's attempts to get him out are in vain because the hair is too strong. That is when she remembers her ghostball and calls Shinbi. Shinbi immediately infers that the Black Pearl Ghost hid in Ga-eun's hair and that it is the ghost of an extremely angry lady. He then tells Ha-ri that the Black Pearl Ghost is so strong everybody can see her. The ghost immediately gets mad and attacks Shinbi and Ha-ri. Ha-ri then tells Shinbi that they need to get rid of the hair, to which Shinbi suggest using his fire magic, once he shot it into the ghost's hair it started to burn but was quickly smothered by more hair. The ghost then grabs Shinbi and Ha-ri and asks Ha-ri, why she defies her. Ha-ri then sees a clip of a crying young girl and an older girl running over. the older girl addresses the younger girl as Ga-eun and asks what is wrong. Ga-eun explains that the girls in her class took her hat, the older girl then tells Ga-eun that she will get her a new hat, and places her own on Ga-eun's head. Ga-eun addresses the older girl as "Sissy" and asks why others can't be nice to her like they are to her sister. Ga-eun's sister responds by saying she doesn't know why either but if they paid attention they would see how amazing Ga-eun is. She reassures Ga-eun that one day she will have friends that see what she sees in Ga-eun and says until then she will be their for Ga-eun.

Trivia[]
- At first, when Ha-ri is trying to get the shed door open, she is pulling it towards her, which opens the door enough to see in, but when she finally gets the door open it is when she pushed both of the doors in towards the inside of the shed. Only moments later, when she is dragging the girl out of the shed, one of the doors is closed and the door that is still open is open to the outside of the shed when Ha-ri closes it to use her body weight to keep it shut from the outside.
